#15 Where I Live
This is the city of Xiangtan:
Here is the same video with my commentary text over the top:
I literally pushed record and walked out of my apartment and down around a block for a half-hour and this is the result. I wanted to wait for a sunny day to do it but the rain wasn't letting up so I did it anyway. I like it a lot.

Love it. I'm so glad you finally put something up. Pammie danced all the way through the video. Keller kept saying "Whoa Wow!!!" and Will asked if it was cold there.
You did a really good job. Keep it up.
How did your family lesson go anyway?
p.s. When do I get to see the video of Will interviewing you?
I love the Vlog... Can I get a "I <3 Mike Alger's Vlog" t-shirt? And I'm totally impressed with how well you're documenting China. Keep it up!

I'm with Tom. This is amazing. It's better than I could've imagined. I think I'm gonna have to design those shirts.
yay! I'm so happy to see your videos...I have missed them. This one is probably mine and Matt's favorite of the ones you've done about China...but they're all good. Hope all is well. We miss ya.
oh, so it's just like chinatown, NY?
just joshing. beautifully done.
Actually it really does remind me of New York in some places. Which is weird because I don't think I've ever been to New York.
no cereal? could be bad! but i love the vlog! is it cold? can you talk to/understand anyone? loved the pics of the students. mom j
Incredible job. This one is favorite. I love what you did with "the speed up, slow down on interesting things" idea- perfect music. I had to watch it again and will probably watch it a few more times, showing friends and family and such. I think my favorite part, besides the overall AWESOMENESS, is the sound effect when the dog is waddling down the street. Good job making it personal at the end. I love it. Miss you!
Mike! Your Vlog is amazing. You were able to sum up the shocks of Hong Kong, Changsha, and our individual cities wonderfully! It was wonderful to reminisce the first couple weeks of China. Thanks! Keep up the good work.
Hey Mike! Found your vlog through Erin and glad I did! LOVE the videos, especially this one. THe music, the effects, the pop-up commentary--everything tells a story from beginning to end. Keep up the good work and have fun in China :)
